EXTENSION OF TEMPORARY RESIDENT VISA (TRV) FOR FIVE (5) YEARS OF AN INDIAN NATIONAL UNDER MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. ADD-01-038

IMPORTANT NOTICE : *Information relating to Administrative Immigration Order No. SBM-2014-006, the applicants ‘ passports are expected to be handed over to the Bureau while the application is pending and shall be returned to the applicant by courier service upon proper disposition of the same. Any request to take out a necessary document (example: passport, birth/marriage certificate) while the document is pendent. Any attempt to take out a necessary document (example: passport, birth/marriage certificate) while the application is pending shall be considered to constitute an act of abandonment of the current application. Therefore, the request is denied and all payments made with respect to the request are not subject to refund.

4. How do I apply?

4.1 Download the CONSOLIDATED GENERAL APPLICATION FORMS (CGAF) and a checklist of documentary criteria either from the Public Information and Assistance Unit (PIAU) at Ground FLoor (G / F) of the Main Office at Bureau of Immigration (BI) or from the Official Bureau (BI) website. 

4.2 Send to the Central Receiving Unit (CRU) the submitted application form, applicant’s passport, and complete requirements. 

4.3 Get the Order of Payment Slip (OPS).

4.4 Pay the visa application fees to Cashier.

4.5 Get the Official Receipt (OR) from the Cashier.

4.6 Pay the delivery fees to Courier located at Ground Floor (G/F) Bureau of Immigration (BI) Main Office.

4.7 Get the carrier package with a thermal label listing the name, address, and the number of the applicant’s bill.

4.8 Give the exact original Official Receipt (OR) and Delivery Package to Central Receiving Unit (CRU). The ongoing outcome of the application, the applicant’s passport, and the delivery package will be indorsed with the Office of the Executive Director (OED). After which, except for the passport and delivery package, Central Receiving Unit (CRU) must accept the visa application documents to the Legal Division for allocation to the hearing officers and the ACR I-Card application documents to the Alien Registration Division (ARD).

4.9 Join the Hearing

4.10 The biometric data previously collected during the visa conversion process shall be used in the printing of the renewed ACR I-Card for visa extension application. Nonetheless, applicants aged ten (10) years and under must have their picture and fingerprint captured per visa extension. Applicants aged 11 years and over will have their image and fingerprint taken every five (5) years afterward.

4.11 Upon approval of the Alien Certificate of Registration Identity Card (ACR I-Card), the Alien Registration Division (ARD) will forward it to the Office of the Executive Director (OED).

4.12 When the request for a visa is accepted/approved, the Office of the Executive Director (OED) must incorporate the visa into the applicant’s passport. The courier must then deliver the applicant’s Approval Order, passport, and Alien Certificate of Registration Identity Card (ACR I-Card). On the other hand, if denied, the courier must supply the applicant with the Rejection Order and passport.
